Tony Gillen is a hurricane veteran. A veteran not only of Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne but also of Hurricane Georges in 1999. Before that he lived through what became known as the “Great Storm of 1987” when Category 3 winds buffeted England.

He is a retired business coach whose work on Selling, Customer Care and Coaching is still being taught in British corporations. He co-founded the Center for Applied Business Coaching before immigrating to the United States in 1997. He still lives with Carol, his wife, but their daughter, Laura, has now moved from Charlotte County to Boulder Colorado.
